AIM7 Tempest Tier Linear Compensator Kit, specifically the version that utilizes the Plan-B mounting system with .900″ x 24 threads.  

• The Hub Threading: The internal threading of the “Overeal” adapter is usually 1.125″ x 28 (Alpha standard). This allows you to swap out the Plan-B adapter for direct thread or ASR mounts if your setup changes.

• Material: Usually constructed from 6061-T6 Aluminum for the body (to keep it lightweight) and SUS303 Stainless Steel for the Plan-B adapter (to handle the heat and pressure at the mounting point).

• Function: It acts as a Blast Shield / Linear Compensator. It traps the lateral gas burst from your muzzle brake and forces it forward. This makes shooting much more comfortable for the person next to you and reduces the “concussion” felt by the shooter.

The .900″ x 24 thread is the specific connection point between the compensator’s adapter and your firearm’s muzzle device (if you already have a Plan-B style brake or flash hider installed).

This device is a linear compensator/blast shield and is not a suppressor or silencer. It does not reduce the total sound signature; it only redirects the “concussive” blast forward.

• Legal Status: Like the Tempest kits mentioned previously, “Overeal” branded items are not suppressors. They do not have internal baffles and do not reduce the decibel level of the shot.

This muzzle brake is manufactured from SUS303 (equivalent to AISI 303), an austenitic stainless steel known for its ease of machining and corrosion resistance.
