ASR (Adaptive Suppressor Ready) 13/16×16 Linear Comp Adapter and Mount, which is designed to be installed midway along a hub/Tube, typically between the hub and barrel tubes—likely for suppressor or muzzle device integration.

this is used as a thread adapter and blast-forwarding linear compensator, or just as a spacer/mounting interface
The ASR 13/16×16 Linear Comp Adapter is both a functional mount and a kind of barrel shroud by pushing it forward over part of the barrel, right? That’s a pretty slick setup—dual purpose:
Barrel shroud: It acts like a sleeve, covering part of the barrel to give a cleaner look and possibly protect or reduce heat transfer.
Quick-detach function: Since it’s tied into the ASR system, you get easy on/off with suppressors or comps—super handy if you’re swapping setups.
The fact that it slides forward a bit onto the barrel also probably improves rigidity and alignment, which is especially helpful for QD suppressors. It makes installation feel more solid, and you’re not relying solely on the muzzle threads.
