Thread: 1/2×28 | OAL: 1.876″ | Bore: 0.368″
Engineered for precision and performance, the Aim7 Titanium Brake is crafted from aerospace-grade Grade 5 Titanium (6Al-4V) for an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance.
Key Features:
Thread Pitch: 1/2×28 – compatible with most standard .223/5.56/9mm/22LR platforms
Material: Grade 5 Titanium (6Al-4V) – lightweight, strong, corrosion-resistant
Overall Length: 1.876 inches – compact yet effective
Bore Diameter: 0.368 inches – optimized for standard calibers (.223 / 5.56)
Port Configuration:
Two Side Ports – reduce felt recoil and redirect blast laterally
Three Adjustable Top Ports – each port includes a tuning screw for customizable vertical compensation and muzzle rise control
Performance:
This brake is designed for tunable performance, giving shooters the ability to adjust gas redirection via the top ports for flatter shooting and quicker follow-up shots. Ideal for competitive shooting, hunting, or tactical applications where muzzle control is key.

Compatibility
Firearms with 1/2×28 threaded barrels
Calibers up to .223 / 5.56mm (.368” bore)
Not recommended for use with calibers above the bore size without professional assessment
Installation Instructions
⚠️ Always ensure the firearm is unloaded and safe before installation.
Prepare the barrel: Clean threads of carbon or debris.
Install a crush washer or shim (if needed) to achieve proper timing.
Thread the brake onto the barrel by hand until snug.
Clock the brake so the two large lateral ports are aligned at 3 and 9 o’clock positions.
Ensure top ports face upward (12 o’clock position).
Use a wrench (if applicable) to tighten the brake 1/4 turn past hand-tight, or until properly timed. Do not overtighten.
Double-check alignment using a bore rod or visual confirmation.
Tuning Instructions – Top Adjustable Ports
The three top-mounted ports come with pre-installed screws that can be adjusted or removed to fine-tune muzzle rise:
Port Screws | Function |
---|---|
All installed | Maximum rise control (less muzzle climb) |
Some removed | Partial rise control (more gas redirection) |
All removed | Maximum gas venting (more compensation) |
Start with all screws installed. Fire a few rounds to assess recoil and muzzle rise. Remove or adjust screws incrementally until desired performance is achieved.
Use the included hex wrench to:
Loosen and remove screws
Reinstall or replace as needed
⚠️ Do not overtighten screws. Torque to hand-tight (1-2 in-lbs) only.
Maintenance & Care
Clean regularly using a carbon solvent or ultrasonic cleaner.
Inspect top port screws for tightness after every 100–200 rounds.
Avoid cross-threading during installation.
Do not use abrasive tools on titanium surface to preserve finish.
Warnings & Safety
Not intended for use with calibers exceeding bore diameter (.368″).
Always verify concentricity when installing on suppressed firearms.
Improper installation may result in baffle strikes or injury.
Only qualified gunsmiths should modify or permanently attach the brake.
